Grow With Us - Woldumar Nature Center

The NEED -- For more than 40 years Woldumar Nature Center has inspired a love for nature among families and students throughout the Lansing area. Nearly a half century of footprints on the trails and the natural evolution of our diverse ecosystems have created a critical need to revitalize and expand the crumbling facilities and to preserve our forests, prairies, wetlands and other natural areas for future generations.

The BENEFITS -- Woldumar is launching a fundraising campaign to transform the Visitors Center into a hub for diverse educational programs and activities; improve accessibility to Woldumar's extensive 5 miles of nature trails and 1.25 miles of shoreline; expand opportunities to experience firsthand more than 10 diverse ecosystems located within 150 acres; enhance hands-on learning for youth and adults - and, increase awareness of one's place in nature!

The ASK -- Woldumar Nature Center is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) funded solely by members, benefactors and program participants. These fund only the day-to-day operational expenses of Woldumar. To further our mission to provide environmental education, conserve our natural resources and preserve our history, Woldumar is launching its first ever capital campaign. We have set a goal of $1.8 million to build a new Visitors Center, upgrade educational programming and improve accessibility to the trails and our natural ecosystems. We are inviting and encouraging everyone to participate in this campaign to 'Grow With Us.'
