Eco Adventure

Ages: 13-16
Time: 9:00am to 4:00pm *
Nonmember Fee: $290/camper
Member Fee: $255/camper

Eco Adventure is a high-intensity camp designed with teenagers in mind. Participants enjoy smaller camper-to-counselor ratios as they engage in ecologically friendly activities like camping, canoeing, fishing, archery, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing and more. Each session emphasizes outdoor survival, with a Thursday overnight to test the campers skills. Team-building and personal growth will also be highlighted, and each session will include an offsite high-adventure activity.

Session Descriptions

Eco Survivor

Dates: July 6 - July 9
Code: ECO1

During Eco Survivor adventurers will learn primitive survival skills, like safe fire and shelter building, archery, fishing, and how to find/grow edible plants. The survivors will travel the Grand River in canoes and the adventure will end with survivors testing their skills, and shelters, during the Thursday overnight. Note: Fee for this short week is $200/members; $235/nonmembers.

Eco Voyager

Dates: July 19 - July 23
Code: ECO2

Eco Voyager is a week all about moving. Adventurers will get active by traveling trails in adventurous ways: hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking. During the Thursday overnight campers will be given the opportunity to take a night hike using only the stars and the moon as guides.

Eco Explorer

Dates: August 2 - August 6
Code: ECO3

Eco Explorer week will have adventurers exploring in new and exciting ways. We will spend a day rock climbing and exploring the river from inside a canoe. Explorers will have a chance to exercise their bodies and their minds in this adventurous week. The Thursday overnight will have campers exploring the night for sights of nocturnal creatures.

Eco Extreme

Dates: August 10 - August 12

Eco Adventurers who participate in one or more of the earlier sessions will receive information about an exciting opportunity which will take place August 10 - 12.
