Camp Discovery at Woldumar Nature Center has been a Lansing area tradition for over half a century!

Leave winter behind and SPRING into adventure. Children currently enrolled in grades kindergarten through 6 have the opportunity to get outdoors and try new things! Make friends, be adventurous, have fun!

This year we offer five different daily themes (see below). Both full and half day camps are available. Full day runs from 9:00am - 4:00pm; half day from 9:00am - 12:00pm. Campers need to bring their own lunch, refillable water bottle, and weather appropriate clothes. Woldumar will provide an afternoon snack. Drop off begins at 8:30 am; pick up by 4:30 pm.

Fee per day: Full day, $40 for members, $50 for non-members.  Half-day, $25 for members, $30 for non-members.

Full week fee: Full days, $165 for members, $195 for non-members.  Half-days, $120 for members, $135 for non-members.

Before and after care are available for Spring Break Camp. Drop off begins at 8:00 am; pick up by 5:00 pm. ($10 per day per camper)

April 1: Spring Fling


Longer days means everything is waking up and getting ready to grow. Come and learn about the unique season of Spring as we explore why our days are warming up and becoming longer.


April 2: Water Wonders


All of the water in the world is constantly moving, fueling life on Earth. Explore all of the grand ways that water works to make our world possible. 


April 3: All about Animals


Investigate the diversity found within the animal kingdom as we learn about Michigan wildlife.


April 4: Naturally Artistic


Let your creative side go wild! Use nature to inspire you as we create art out of artifacts found in nature.


April 5: Wild Engineering


Build a bridge to a better future as we explore the importance and implementation of structural engineering in bridges.
